Sexuality, no one understands what causes it. So some factor on E1 led to Snart being straight (or Bi) and some factor on EX led to Snart being gay (or Bi). Or Snart is simply bi like Constantine and Sara. E1 not having a Supergirl? Krypton didn't explode. Or it did explode and they failed to leave the planet. Or Kal-El and Kara Zor El were.
