Unlike some larger cities, Santa Clarita doesn’t have one specific “gayborhood,” or area where most of the LGBTQ population lives. Because much of the city is very LGBT-friendly, there’s no gay neighborhood per se. Instead, many gays and lesbians live throughout the area.

Intrigued by the possibility of a queer and gay-friendly escape in the USA just an hour’s drive north of Los Angeles, we packed our bags and headed up Interstate 5 to Santa Clarita.

The SCV LGBTQ Center is dedicated to stimulating community growth in the Santa Clarita Valley through inclusive and intersectional events, welcoming spaces, and valuable educational resources, aimed at supporting and empowering the LGBTQIA2S+ population.
